Ap­pli­ca­tion Meth­ods

Suit­able ap­plic­a­tion meth­ods for Purolyt Dis­in­fect­ant Con­cen­trate are spray­ing, fog­ging, wip­ing and im­mers­ing, de­pend­ing on what you wish to dis­in­fect. To dis­in­fect wa­ter, Purolyt Dis­in­fect­ant Con­cen­trate can be ad­ded dir­ectly. For de­tailed in­form­a­tion, please refer to the in­struc­tions for use.

WIP­ING

This is primar­ily used for dis­in­fect­ing sur­faces. We re­com­mend to uni­formly spray the sur­faces and to wipe them sub­sequently. It is im­port­ant to en­sure that the sur­faces you wish to dis­in­fect are com­pletely wet­ted. Please re­spect the ne­ces­sary ex­pos­ure time.

SPRAY­ING

This can be em­ployed any­where where wip­ing proves im­prac­tic­able for dis­in­fect­ing sur­faces, e.g. in the case of sur­faces with poor ac­cess­ib­il­ity. For spray­ing, reg­u­lar com­mer­cially avail­able pres­sure spray­ers may be used. It is im­port­ant to en­sure that the sur­faces you wish to dis­in­fect are com­pletely wet­ted.

FOG­GING

Cold fog­ging al­lows for a uni­form droplet size as well as for an op­tim­al dis­tri­bu­tion of the aer­o­sol. This is par­tic­u­larly suit­able for dis­in­fect­ing air in spa­cious room­s. It is im­port­ant to en­sure that the sur­faces you wish to dis­in­fect are com­pletely wet­ted.

IM­MER­SION

Any parts with a com­plex geo­metry an­d/or cav­it­ies can be im­mersed in a di­luted solu­tion of Puro­lyt. Tubes and hoses may be flushed with Purolyt solu­tion. Please re­spect the ne­ces­sary ex­pos­ure time.

DIR­ECT AD­DI­TION

To dis­in­fect raw wa­ter, Purolyt can be ad­ded dir­ectly to the wa­ter you wish to dis­in­fect.

Fields of Ap­pli­ca­tionDIS­IN­FECT­ING SUR­FACES

Purolyt is suit­able for dis­in­fect­ing sur­faces, walls and floors in private house­hold­s, pub­lic fa­cil­it­ies, in hos­pit­al­s, food ser­vice fa­cil­it­ies, in in­dustry, ag­ri­cul­ture and land­scap­ing. De­pend­ing on where and how it is used, it can be ap­plied via spray­ing, wip­ing or im­mers­ing.

DIS­IN­FECT­ING WA­TER

Purolyt is suit­able for dis­in­fect­ing wa­ter, i. a. for swim­ming pools, fish tank­s, and air con­di­tion­ing sys­tems as well as ir­rig­a­tion wa­ter for use in land­scap­ing, ag­ri­cul­ture and hy­dro­cul­ture. Fur­ther­more, Purolyt can be used for dis­in­fect­ing waste wa­ter and chem­ic­al toi­let­s.

DIS­IN­FECT­ING AIR

Purolyt can be used for dis­in­fect­ing in­door air. This is done with suit­able pres­sure spray­ers or by cold fog­ging. Rel­ev­ant fields of ap­plic­a­tion en­com­pass private, pub­lic and in­dus­tri­al areas, e.g. room dis­in­fec­tion for pro­cessing en­vir­on­ments in the food in­dustry (e.g. dry­ing herb­s).

DIS­IN­FECT­ING TOOLS, IN­STRU­MENT­S, GARDEN­ING TOOLS AND SYS­TEM COM­PON­ENTS

Purolyt is suit­able for dis­in­fect­ing tools, in­stru­ments and garden­ing tools. Tubes and hoses as well as sys­tem com­pon­ents may be dis­in­fec­ted eas­ily, too. In par­tic­u­lar, it is re­com­men­ded to dis­in­fect all cut­ting tools used for cul­tiv­at­ing plants in or­der to pre­vent cross-­con­tam­in­a­tions with patho­gens.

DIS­IN­FECT­ING IN­ERT SUB­STRATES

Purolyt can also be used for dis­in­fect­ing in­ert sub­strates. Thus, in­ert sub­strates can be ster­il­ized be­fore they are used. Fur­ther pos­sible ways to pre­vent mi­cro­bi­al con­tam­in­a­tions are dis­in­fec­tions via peri­od­ic or fi­nal flush­ing pro­cesses. Purolyt even al­lows for re­cyc­ling in­ert sub­strates!

DIS­IN­FEC­TION IN THE FIELD OF FOOD AND AN­IM­AL FEED

Purolyt is suit­able for use in the field of food and an­im­al feed. Hence, Purolyt may be used to dis­in­fect fa­cil­it­ies, con­tain­er­s, plates, glasses and cut­lery, sur­faces and sup­ply lines used in con­nec­tion with pro­du­cing, trans­port­ing, stor­ing or con­sum­ing food or feed (in­clud­ing drink­ing wa­ter) for hu­mans and an­im­als.

PURI­FIC­A­TION OF DRINK­ING WA­TER

The agent as well as the pro­duc­tion pro­ced­ure were ex­amined by the Ger­man Fed­er­al En­vir­on­ment Agency and were re­gistered as ac­cept­able wa­ter treat­ment agent and ac­cept­able dis­in­fec­tion pro­ced­ure in the of­fi­cial list ac­cord­ing to § 11 Trink­wasserver­or­d­nung (Trink­wV, Ger­man Drink­ing Wa­ter Or­din­ance 2001).
