Sterile conditions for safe seed germination and cutting rooting.

Transparent glass container consisting of two parts – a deep bottom bowl and a flat top lid. Diameter 10 cm. Creates a sealed environment. Protects against mold and bacteria in the early stages of development. In mushroom cultivation, a Petri dish is used to germinate spores and grow pure mycelium culture on sterile nutrient agar, allowing for the selection of the strongest strains free from mold and bacteria.

Advantages

  • Transparent walls allow observation of the germination process without opening the container
  • Glass is easily sterilized by boiling or in an oven
  • Airtight seal maintains constant humidity
  • Surface does not absorb odors or interact with biological material

Seed Germination Instructions

  • Sterilize the dish by boiling for 10 minutes
  • Place a sterile cotton pad or filter paper on the bottom
  • Moisten the base with clean water at room temperature
  • Place seeds spaced apart from each other
  • Close the lid and place in a warm, dark place
  • Check humidity every 2–3 days, add water if necessary
  • After sprouts appear, transplant the seedlings into substrate

Important!

Perform all manipulations with clean hands (and tweezers). For rooting cuttings, a special nutrient agar-based medium is used instead of water.
